BIOS AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS

EMILY MCMAHON

Emily is from Mountain View High School in Bend, Oregon where she was the 2002 and 2003 4A State Champion in the 800 meters.

She was the first high school athlete selected by the foundation and has been with us for 5 years. She graduated from the University of Oregon in 2008, maintaining almost a 4.0 GPA. She has given back to the community by participating in Young Life. She has given well over the 8 hours per month required by the Foundation.

In addition to meets in the US, she competed in Europe in 2004 and 2007 and in Canada 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2009. She has steadily improved her time and in 2009 ran 2:05.86 for the 800. She should be able to qualify for the national championships in 2010. She has run 55.13 in the 400 and 25.24 in the 200 and 11.9 in the 100.

BRIANNA ANDERSON-GREGG

Brianna is from Philomath High School in Philomath, Oregon, class of 2004, where she was a multiple state champion in track (800, 1500, 3000) and a three-times cross country champion.

She joined the foundation in September 2005. She graduated from the University of Oregon in 2009 with a 4.0 GPA. She has given back to the community in a variety of ways, including volunteer work at the White Bird Clinic.

Brianna has competed in Canada in 2007 and 2009 and in Europe in 2007. She has run a 4:23.54 in the 1500 and looks to make the B Standard for the national championships in the 1500 in 2010. She has run a 2:09.12 in the 800.

HEATHER SPINNEY

Heather graduated from Sheldon High School in Eugene in 2005. She was a multiple state finalist in track and cross country. She joined the foundation in September 2005.

She is currently enrolled in Lane Community College and plans to attend the University of Oregon in the near future. She has donated her time volunteering with Sheldon High School track and cross country teams.

Heather has had a series of related illnesses that we feel are in the past. Although she has run some races we look forward to her racing a full schedule in 2010.

SYDNIE JOHNSON

Sydnie graduated from Churchill High School in Eugene, Oregon in 2009. She finished second in the state championships in the 800 Meters. She also competed in the National Junior Championships.

She entered the University of Oregon in fall 2009. She has already donated time to Food for Lane County.

Sydnie will compete in cross country and track. She has a personal best from high school of 2:13.90 in the 800 Meters and has run 59.6 in the 400 and 27.8 in the 200.
